How is the plastic injection mold processed to produce plastic products?

Since human beings have entered the industrial society, the production of all kinds of products have gotten rid of manual work, automated machine production has been popular in all walks of life, and the production of plastic products is no exception, nowadays, plastic products are processed by injection molding machine, such as the shells of various home appliances and digital products that are common in our daily life are processed by injection molding. How is a complete plastic product processed in the injection molding machine?

   1. Heating and preplasticization

The screw is driven by the drive system, the material from the hopper forward, compacted, in the cylinder outside the heater, the screw and the barrel of the shear, friction under the mixing effect, the material gradually melt, in the head of the barrel has accumulated a certain amount of molten plastic, under the pressure of the melt, the screw slowly back. The distance of retreat depends on the amount required for one injection by the metering device to adjust, when the predetermined injection volume is reached, the screw stops rotating and retreating.

    2. Clamping and locking

The clamping mechanism pushes the mold plate and the movable part of the mold mounted on the movable mold plate to close and lock the mold with the movable part of the mold on the movable mold plate to ensure that sufficient clamping force can be provided to lock the mold during molding.

    3. Forward movement of injection unit

When the closing of the mold is completed, the entire injection seat is pushed and moved forward so that the injector nozzle fits completely with the main sprue opening of the mold.

    4.Injection and pressure-holding

After the mold clamping and nozzle completely fit the mold, the injection hydraulic cylinder enters the high pressure oil and pushes the screw forward relative to the barrel to inject the melt accumulated in the head of the barrel into the cavity of the mold with sufficient pressure, which causes the plastic volume to shrink due to the decrease in temperature. To ensure the denseness, dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties of the plastic parts, it is necessary to maintain a certain pressure on the melt in the mold cavity to replenish the material.

    5. Unloading pressure

When the melt at the mold gate is frozen, the pressure can be unloaded.

    6. Injection device backing up

Generally speaking, after the unloading is completed, the screw can rotate and retreat to complete the next filling and preplasticization process.

   7. Open the mold and eject the plastic parts

After the plastic parts in the mold cavity are cooled and set, the clamping mechanism opens the mold and pushes out the plastic parts in the mold.

Since then, a complete plastic product is considered complete, of course, most of the plastic parts will need to be followed by oil spraying, silk-screening, hot stamping, laser engraving and other auxiliary processes, and then assembled with other products, and finally form a complete product before the final to the hands of consumers.
